Europeana Archaeology project, co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union, started in February 2019 and ended in October 2020.
Thanks to the cooperation of the partners, more than 374,000 archaeological records
are now available in Europeana and among these there are 1,854 3D items.
Among the results of the project, the Europeana Archaeology Vocabulary Services tool was developed. This service gives the opportunity to enrich the metadata made available through Europeana according to the Europeana Data Model, to enhance the retrieval of the resources and the multilingualism of Europeana archaeological contents.
Europeana Archaeology has also produced several blog posts, galleries, and a virtual exhibition. The list of editorial contents is available here.
